When I was approached in January 2020 and asked to take on the role as chair of FMSC I was hesitant as I knew it would require a tremendous amount of work and effort. I knew it would be long days, late nights and a few more grey hairs.
Over the coming weeks as I reflected on the opportunity I knew in my heart it was something I needed to be a part of. Morrin has been my home for 36 years and every ounce of my being wants to see our communities thrive and flourish. I know from growing up here, and now raising my own family here that the saying, “it takes a village, to raise a child” is not only truth but is my own lived experience in our community. So with this motto behind me, I gratefully agreed to take on this role knowing the passionate and skilled ‘village’ with me.
It’s an absolute honor to work with our communities during this once in a lifetime venture! I am beyond thrilled to work with such a talented group of people on this fundraising campaign and want to ensure that everyone is involved!
