It has been one week since our 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐁𝐐 & 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and we are still buzzing with excitement! Thank you to everyone who helped to make our event a tremendous success!
Over the last two years we were able to come together as a community to support and rally behind the Morrin School rebuild, and on Friday, June 17, we were able to finally celebrate our achievements with an official Groundbreaking Ceremony, followed by a Community BBQ. Our event included a delicious barbeque supper, raffle table, the conclusion of our Grad Challenge fundraiser, and a movie in the gym.

WOW. We are still trying to wrap our heads around the tremendous amount of support that we received from the Morrin School community these last three days, as we came together to install our amazing new playground!
Well over 65 volunteers, including parents, students, alumni, staff, & family took on the challenge to help assemble, install, and beautify our new playground space. There are still a few big ticket items left to install (hello zipline & beehive!), with the goal of having them finished by Morrin Homecoming for all to enjoy!
Special thanks to the volunteers who also organized hot meals & coffee snacks for our work crew each day - everything was so delicious & much appreciated! We would also like to thank Donavan from BDI Play Designs Inc. who made the trek from Calgary each day to lead our crew & keep us on top of things!
Again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! We can't wait to see how everything is going to turn out as we continue to work towards our goal of #BuildingItBetterTogether!

The windows are in, and we are getting even more excited with each passing day as things continue to progress with the Morrin School build! Just picture all of that natural light coming into our new library!
If you look closely, you can even see evidence of our new playground!

What a beauty! I think we are starting to see a little light at the end of the tunnel . It is so nice to start seeing what the finished build is going to look like in this community. Good job everybody working on this build!
